The Sims FreePlay will turn 10 this year, it's amazing how they still keep this game super alive and up to date. Your younger brother, The Sims Mobile, will turn 3 this year (does not follow the beta period).
Something that is always under discussion in the community is: which is better? The Sims FreePlay or The Sims Mobile? Today I will help you understand which is the best!
DEVELOPMENT
The Sims FreePlay was developed initially by EA Mobile (Maxis) and later by Firemonkeys. The Sims Mobile was developed by Maxis, but today it is developed by Firemonkeys. Recalling that: both studios, Maxis and Firemonkeys belong to EA.
THERE IS NO "BEST"
Yes, there is no better in itself. It is unfair to compare a game of almost 10 years against a game of just 3 years. But yes, it is clear that The Sims FreePlay contains a lot of content and a lot of things that Mobile doesn't have yet, and that is completely compressible.
But each game has its highlight, check out which ones are:
THE SIMS 4 MOBILE
Some consider The Sims Mobile, a The Sims 4 for mobile phones. And in fact, it is the only experience closest to The Sims 4. The highlights of The Sims Mobile are: its graphics, the Sims with more details and the parties keep the players connected. Initially The Sims Mobile is smaller than The Sims FreePlay, as it is a newer game.
THE SIMS 3 MOBILE
The Sims FreePlay is a reinterpretation of The Sims 3 for mobile phones. There was The Sims 3 Mobile, it was never updated with news and was discontinued in 2017, even though it has been dead since its launch. The Sims FreePlay reused some things from The Sims 3 Mobile, like the Sims model for example. The highlights of The Sims FreePlay are: better gameplay (you have more to do with your Sims), more life (Sims have needs, and there is death in the game), more events, better city (3D), swimming pools and various construction tools.
LIMITATIONS
The Sims FreePlay is an old game, so the engine used is also old and according to some research it is a discontinued engine. This limits the game from receiving great news, as previously said "our engine is very old". According to some research, SimCity BuildIt uses the same engine, that is, The Sims FreePlay could receive an update with graphical improvements, rejuvenating the game would give you another 10 years of life.
On the other hand The Sims Mobile uses a new engine (unknown, but possibly the same engine as The Sims 4, adapted for mobile, of course). This removes any impediment to big news. I don't have many doubts that The Sims Mobile will be amazing when it turns 10 years!
CONCLUSION
